Job Placement |
Analyzing the preinjury, or alternative, job is essential for a successful return to work. Job analysis must be accurate and objective; and according to A Guide to Job Analysis, should include "what the worker does in terms of activities or functions, how the work is done, results of the work and workers' characteristics."
On Site Analysis: Our staff effectively gathers information on job functions through interviews and on-site analysis. On-site analysis allows first-hand observation of task performance and permits a worker to describe or demonstrate tasks, routines, and functions. When geographic factors hinder on-site analysis, CCM evaluates comparable jobs with similar employers to replicate the client's job.
Accuracy is crucial. The job analysis expedites a determination regarding the ability to return to a job. If the client is unable to perform the preinjury job, job analysis can isolate job functions which lead to developing possible modifications or accommodations. If modifications or accommodations are not possible or insufficient, job analysis proves useful in identifying alternative employments.
